こんにちは皆様。

システム技術部第1課のD.Bです.
夏のお祭り、お盆を紹介したいと思います。

「お盆」とは先祖の霊が帰ってくる日とされています。

お盆の風習はもともとインドの伝統的な仏教行事に由来すると考えられてきました。

正式には「盂蘭盆会（うらぼんえ）」と呼ばれます。亡くなられた方やご先祖様が、あの世と呼ばれる世界（浄土）からこの世（現世）に戻ってくる期間のことです。故人が生前を過ごした場所、主に自宅でお迎えして、再び戻っていくあの世での幸せ（冥福）を祈る機会となっています。

その日はたくさんの人が花火をするので、お祝いを見られるのは素晴らしい経験でした。

This is D. B from System Engineering Department SE1.

I would like to introduce the summer festival ‘Obon‘.

Obon is the day when the spirits of our ancestors come back to us.

It is believed that the custom of Obon originally came from a traditional Buddhist event in India.
It is officially called “Urabon-e.”. It is the period when the deceased and their ancestors return to this world (this world) from the other world (Jodo). It is an opportunity to receive the deceased at the place where he or she spent his or her life, mainly at home, and to pray for happiness in the other world when he or she returns.

In India, we have also a similar ritual to express gratitude and thanks towards our ancestors and pray for their peace.

On that day many people are performing Bon Odori, It’s a wonderful experience for me to see the celebration.
