共通の言葉（Words with same meanings and pronunciation）

システム技術部第3課のA.Sです。

2018年10月に日本に来てから、4年が経ちました。 初めの1年間は大学の語学学科で日本語を勉強し、卒業後も自分で日本語の学習を続けています。

日本語を勉強する中で、日本語の言葉の中に、私の母国語であるヒンディー語と発音と意味が似ているものがいくつかあり、とても興味深く感じました。 ここでいくつか例を紹介したいと思います。

 

・世話 　ヒンディー語と同じ意味です。

・奈落 　ヒンディー語で地獄を意味します。

・達磨 　ヒンディー語の“ダルマ”は「宗教」を意味しますが、日本で有名な達磨は、中国へ仏教を伝えたインド人の僧侶の名前から来ています。

他にも、擬音語のグルグルなど、同じ意味で日本語とヒンディー語の発音が近い言葉があります。

亀山電機の従業員の11％は外国人労働者です。 このような小さな共通点から、お互いの国の文化を知っていくのも面白いのではないでしょうか。

This is A.S from System Engineering Department SE3.

Four years have passed since I came to Japan in October 2018. I studied Japanese in the language department at the university for the first year, and have continued to study Japanese on my own since graduation.
While studying Japanese, I found it very interesting that there are some words in Japanese that have similar pronunciations and meanings to Hindi, my native language. I would like to introduce some examples here.

・ 世話 सेवा SEWA -Haves the same meaning and pronunciation which means to take care.

・奈落 नरक Naraku Means hell.

・達磨  Bodhidharma “Dharma” in Hindi means “religion”, but Daruma, which is famous in Japan, comes from the name of an Indian monk who brought Buddhism to China.

There are also other words with the same meaning, such as the onomatopoeia guru-guru, which have similar pronunciations in Japanese and Hindi.

11% of Kameyama Electric’s employees are foreigners. Isn’t it interesting to learn about each other’s cultures through such small commonalities?
